Brant's Road Race and Festival Brant Hamilton was an amazing 6-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003. Despite his treatments and a relapse of disease in 2004, Brant had a zest for life, a deep sense of faith, and the ability to touch the lives of many people that he would never get to meet in his short life.
Brant won his courageous battle with cancer on October 29, 2005, but had to leave his body to do so. He was a true gift from God for 6 years, 10 months, and 16 days.
In honor of Brant, we have set aside one of his favorite holidays to pay tribute to him. Brant's Great Pumpkin Festival will be held every year around Halloween. The festival will feature a road race, fun family activities, a huge silent auction and great food. Please join us for this very special day! Patch's Pumpkins and Honey Farm glady donates pumpkins for this event as well as our hay racks for the homecoming parade. Brant's favorite candy was Skittles, so that's Barant's Buddies throw durring the parade. Please support this great Iowa cause as your dollars stay local and support this community.
